ALL nerves comes from the brain down the spine INCLUDING the sciatic nerve. Although the sciatic nerve EXITS the spine through the lower back area to go down the back of the leg, the nerve ORIGINATES in the brain with all other nerves. The nerve is within the spine inside the spinal cord ALL the way down he spine.
