B9, Vitamin – Folate

by admin_amy | Published September 12, 2018

Folate serves many important functions in the body. For example, it plays a crucial role in cell growth and the formation of DNA (Our Genes). Having low levels of B9 (Folate) in our body has been shown to lead to Cancer, Birth Defects, And Inflammation. The trouble is, our world has figured out how to manufacture B9 in a lab (Folic Acid) at a cheaper price than using natural B9 (Folate) and too much Folic Acid is toxic (as in any acid in the body). Folate is the naturally occurring form of vitamin B9. Before entering the bloodstream, the digestive system uses it in the biologically active form of vitamin B9, 5-MTHF. If taking a folic acid supplement, it takes time for the body to convert it to 5-MTHF – and that’s IF it CAN convert. As we age, it is tougher and tougher to convert any nutrients. Why worry about the conversion – just take FOLATE!!!
